May 15, 2024 · NEW DELHI: Vanguard Group Inc has announced the appointment of Salim Ramji, a seasoned executive from BlackRock Inc, as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 8, 2024. Ramji will also join the board of directors.

Salim Ramji is chief executive officer of Vanguard and a member of the board of directors. Prior to joining Vanguard in July 2024, Salim served in a variety of leadership roles over the past 25 years spanning investments, capital markets, and wealth management.

Vanguard announced that Salim Ramji has assumed the role of chief executive officer and joined Vanguard’s Board of Directors. His appointment was part of a planned transition announced on May 14, 2024.
