Hurricane Oscar made landfall early Sunday morning on Great Inagua Island in the Bahamas, and was expected to make a second landfall over Cuba hours later.

While Hurricane Oscar intensified quickly since Saturday and landed as a Category 1 hurricane in the Caribbean Islands, it will avoid Florida.

Oscar probably won’t be around long. After making a run westward at Cuba, it will begin turning north into Monday and weakening into Tuesday.
