The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast significant weather disturbances as Cyclone Dana is set to make landfall on October 24, bringing heavy rainfall across multiple regions.

The IMD has also issued an orange alert for severe downpours over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and South Interior Karnataka.

In Karnataka, the yellow alert further extends to the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada, as heavy winds have been creating near-cyclonic conditions.
