The Buffalo Bills dominated in a 40-14 win over the New York Jets thanks in large part to an excellent defensive performance.

For Phillips, it was his first interception since 2016 when he played for the Dolphins in a game against the Jets. And for the Bills, counting the two interceptions by DT Austin Johnson earlier this season, that makes three for the defensive tackles, the most that position group has had for any NFL team since the Dolphins had three in 2011.

The Bills’ defense got some players back from injury and turned in one of their best defensive performances of the season. Leading the way was the defensive line, which set the tone for the game and made life miserable for Aaron Rodgers and company.

Rapp and Hamlin have each missed the last two games and were limited this week in practice which has been an ongoing trend. Lewis has started in place of Rapp, but he is now dealing with a shoulder injury which has clouded his availability. He has been limited in practice.

Three other Buffalo defensive players left against New England - linebackers Baylon Spector and Terrel Bernard and cornerback Taron Johnson - but Spector was the only one who didn't return. The Bills re-signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow to their active roster on Monday.
