Throughout the 2024 season, Saquon Barkley proved time and again that the New York Giants should have made a bigger effort to retain him. Forget his record-breaking season -- although that was a huge kick in the mouth -- Barkley is genuinely a good human being.

Had the Giants decided to match Barkley’s free-agent contract offer from the Eagles last March, he would’ve re-signed to continue what he started.
