The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will not hold the traditional meeting of all the captains, a practice that is typically held in the host country prior to any ICC events. This decision marks a departure from past editions and is attributed to logistical challenges,

The Pakistan Cricket Board had originally planned for an opening ceremony to take place two to three days before the opening match of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, only for it to reportedly be called off along with the official captains’ photo shoot.

Though ICC ensured to keep a day reserve for the captains’ joint photo shoot, PCB reportedly cancelled the event citing the ‘unavailability of teams due to tight traveling schedules’.
