McLaren's Lando Norris put McLaren on pole position for the U.S. Grand Prix on Saturday after George Russell crashed his Mercedes in the dying seconds and forced Formula One leader Max Verstappen to slow.

With less than a minute on the clock, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen were two of the final cars putting in their second lap times when George Russell crashed off-circuit into the barriers; the two were left with what-ifs.
