Well, it wasn’t the smooth ride like the first two games were, but maybe a little more meaningful. After embarrassing Tennessee and Oregon, Ohio State found itself in a dogfight with Texas in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. A game the Buckeyes would ultimately win with late heroics.

I'm not sure if Texas A&M closing an 18-point gap and beating No. 17 Oklahoma on the road is an instant classic, but it does count as an exciting win. The start of the game suggested trouble for A&M,
