Goku's Super Saiyan 4 transformation from Daima is achieved through a spell by Neva, unlike GT's natural trigger. Daima's Super Saiyan 4 doesn't age Goku up like in GT, and his appearance slightly differs. In Daima, Goku's fighting style in his Super Saiyan 4 form is more primal and monkey-like, unlike in GT.

The final push against King Gomah in Dragon Ball DAIMA is being waged by the familiar team of Goku and Piccolo.

Dragon Ball Daima has surprised fans with each of its episodes since it debuted last Fall, and each reveal has come with some significant changes for how fans are supposed to see the Dragon Ball world as a whole.

Dragon Ball DAIMA is not shying away from its connections to GT and is instead using it to make the anime much better.

At present, Daima has yet to officially call this new form “Super Saiyan 4” but the penultimate installment all but confirms this fact. Mimicking the reveal of Super Saiyan 3, the adult Goku wields the power in his fight against Gomah which is one that is sure to shake the Demon Realm to its core.

The finale for Dragon Ball DAIMA airs on February 28! Super Saiyan 3 Goku faces Third Eye Gomah in an epic battle for the Demon Realm.

After existing for 28 years in Dragon Ball GT, the Goku transformation into Super Saiyan 4 was finally made canon in Dragon Ball DAIMA.
