BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Walmart says it is bringing back its “inflation-free” holiday meal deal. The retail giant recently announced in a news release that the meal deal will be available through Dec. 24 and serves eight people. Walmart said the meal is at a “lower price than last year” and costs about $7 per person.

This month, ALDI announced it would be offering Thanksgiving meals at the lowest price since 2019, in a bid to lure shoppers with a return to pre-inflation era prices. This week, retailers Target and Walmart announced similar cuts in an effort to undercut ALDI’s offerings.

Walmart is also offering its “inflation-free Thanksgiving meal” which the company said comes out to less than $7 per person. Shoppers can choose to buy the meal for themselves or to gift it to anyone across the country or even the local Salvation Army unit, the company said.
