On the night of October 22, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using Shahed-type kamikaze drones and other UAVs. A total of 60 enemy drones were detected in Ukrainian airspace, having been launched from Russian territory,

Russia bombarded Ukraine with 60 Shahed attack UAVs and unidentified drones on the night of 21-22 October. A total of 42 drones were destroyed, 10 disappeared from radar, 1 flew to Belarus and 3 turned back to Russia.

Russian drones have tried to attack the city of Kyiv on the night of 20-21 October. However, Ukraine's defence forces have destroyed all of the Russian drones, approximately 10 in total, that threatened the city.
