The Iowa high school basketball season is well underway and there are plenty of games to keep an eye on, both boys and girls, happening around the state Friday night. Check out scores from many of the games across the state below.

The second draft of The Gazette’s mock pairings for girls’ basketball regionals is released below. Teams are seeded on three criteria: Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union rankings (1-through-15 from last Thursday), BC Moore computer rankings (non-IGHSAU rateds) and geography.

Boys basketball ■ Roderick Johnson, Losee: The senior logged 20 points to lead the Lions to an 83-40 victory over Doral Academy. ■ Ralu Udom, Shadow Ridge: The senior scored 23 points as the Mustangs rallied in the second half to defeat Green Valley 62-56.
