Wide receiver John Metchie III missed Houston’s game on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs because of a shoulder injury. But on Monday, the former Alabama pass-catcher said he’d be ready to play when the Texans take on the Baltimore Ravens as part of the NFL’s Christmas doubleheader.
Houston Texans wide receiver John Metchie III (shoulder) and tight end Cade Stover (illness) were both upgraded to full practice participants on Monday after they were listed as limited for the first practice of Week 17 on Sunday.
Metchie (shoulder) was listed as limited on Sunday's practice estimate, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. The Texans played the Chiefs on Saturday, so the team didn't actually hold a practice a day later.
But linebacker Leo Chenal (illness), quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) and wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder) will play. Humphries and Conner were both declared out in Thursday’s final injury report.
The Chiefs are at home for a Week 16 matchup with the Texans, and both AFC playoff clubs will be looking to handle business on Saturday.
Metchie (shoulder) did not practice Thursday and has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Chiefs.
