Bills release eight-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Von Miller
The Buffalo Bills announced the long-anticipated decision to release Von Miller on Sunday, parting ways with the aging edge rusher whose contract proved too expensive for his dwindling playing time and production.
Brandon Beane appreciated that Von Miller took a pay cut in 2024, but unless he agrees to another one, he may not return in 2025.
During the Bills’ bye week, Miller was accused of a third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman, the woman being his girlfriend. Miller turned himself in to police and posted bond. When he spoke to the media nearly a month later, he said the accusations were “100% false.” The team stood behind Miller, and he played the weekend after his arrest.
With the Buffalo Bills prioritizing a stronger performance next season, GM Brandon Beane shared his thoughts on Von Miller's future with the team.
If the Buffalo Bills cut ties with veteran edge rusher Von Miller in 2025, the team could look to add a cheap replacement thanks to its limited funds.
