Nicholas Morrow’s second stint with the Buffalo Bills did not last long.
The Buffalo Bills signed veteran linebacker Nicholas Morrow on Monday, close to three weeks after they initially released him.
Nicholas Morrow has landed back in Buffalo. The linebacker is signing with the Bills, per ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg. Morrow will be joining Buffalo’s active roster.
The Buffalo Bills announced they signed QB Mike White from the practice squad to the active roster and released LB Nicholas Morrow in a corresponding move. White, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2018.
The Buffalo Bills managed to scrape by with a 24-21 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 16, but the injuries are beginning to mount for them, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. That led to them pursuing a reunion with veteran linebacker Nicholas Morrow after releasing him just a couple of weeks ago.

Morrow began the regular season on the Bills' active roster, but he was let go Dec. 7 after playing in 11 games. He's back on the 53-man roster due to Baylon Spector (calf) being placed on injured reserve. Morrow will mainly contribute on special teams while bolstering the Bills' linebacker corps.
The team announced two transactions involving backup QB Mike White. White has been added to the team’s 53-man roster ahead of facing the Patriots (3-13) in Week 18. On top of that, he has been signed to a one-year contract extension:
While some playoff-clinching teams have decided to sit their quarterbacks for the final week of the regular season, Allen will be starting for the Bills in Week 18. However, head coach Sean McDermott made it clear it will be a short day for Allen once he extends his streak of 114 straight starts.
