The Commanders were, remarkably enough, led by backup quarterback Marcus Mariota—who replaced an injured Daniels in the first quarter. Mariota connected on 18 of his 23 throws for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Washington also did work on the ground, running for 214 yards and a score on 37 carries.

In this game, Daniels has a big opportunity to hook up with one of his many veteran pass catchers, including wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown and tight end Zach Ertz. Also keep tabs on Luke McCaffrey, a rookie who’s caught every pass that’s come his way and already has a few big plays (on very few chances) this season.
