Former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis, 51, says she’s “thriving” after choosing to undergo new treatment for her Stage 4 breast cancer.

The TV personality first revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago, but it has progressed and metastasized since.

Lewis, the host of the 1990s MTV show “Hot Zone,” tried to fight her illness without undergoing a double mastectomy. She says she is responding well after resuming treatment.

The former MTV host, who has been battling breast cancer for nearly six years, shared in an interview with CNN that her cancer is at Stage 4.
