The race between Republican candidate Scott Perry and Democratic candidate Janelle Stelson in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District is now a “toss-up,” according to the Cook Political Report. The race had previously been considered a “Lean R” in favor of Perry.

Perry, a conservative Republican, seeks a 7th term in the U.S. House; Stelson, a former television anchorwoman, seeks to flip the seat for Democrats.

In 2022, some Republican House members paid a price for their hardline reputations. The highest-profile example was in Colorado’s 3rd District, where GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert won reelection by just 546 votes in her race against well-funded Democratic challenger Adam Frisch despite running in a district Donald Trump won by eight points.
