Maruti Suzuki has officially introduced its maiden electric vehicle for the Indian market, the e-Vitara, a compact SUV designed to cater to the most competitive segment at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

Maruti Suzuki India has finally revealed the much anticipated Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara electric SUV at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The production of the new e-Vitara will begin in the coming months at Maruti’s Gujarat Plant and will be exported to over 100 countries including Europe and Japan.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has marked a historic milestone by unveiling its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e VITARA, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Positioned as a premium electric SUV, the e VITARA promises a blend of innovation, comfort, and sustainability, aligning with India’s push for greener mobility.

Vitara, designed on a new HEARTECT-e platform. The vehicle features two battery options, a dual-tone interior, and advanced safety features. It will be available in Spring 2025, priced between ₹17 lakh to ₹26 lakh.
