Hobart Hurricanes secured a place in the final of the 2025 Big Bash League by beating Sydney Sixers by 12 runs in the qualifier in Hobart. After setting the Sixers 174 to win, the Hurricanes took wickets in each of the first three overs to reduce the visitors to 5-3.

The Hobart Hurricanes have made it to the Big Bash League (BBL) final for the first time in seven years. The team's win was largely due to Riley Meredith's brilliant opening spell, which proved vital in keeping the Sydney Sixers at bay from a late rally.
