The UConn football team will look to improve to 5-2 for the first time since 2008 when it takes on Wake Forest in a much-anticipated matchup against an ACC foe.

UConn football goes for its fourth straight win overall but its first win in three games against a power conference opponent when it hosts Wake Forest.

Wake Forest is coming off a 49-14 loss to Clemson and looks to pick up its second road win in a row. UConn is going after its first four-game winning streak since the 2010 season. This is the first time since a 2016 game against Syracuse that the Huskies are favored against a team from the ACC.

• UConn is due for a win over an Atlantic Coast Conference program, losing five straight. The Huskies are 0-2 this season, falling at Maryland (50-7) on Aug. 31 and at Duke (26-21) on Sept. 14. Their last win vs. an ACC team came against Boston College in 2022.
