The Frankfurt Book Fair - the world's largest gathering of the book trade - opened its doors to the public on Friday in the western German city. However, for Saturday all the tickets have sold out, the organizers said.

THE Philippines will step into a central role at the 2025 Frankfurter Buchmesse (FBM) as the Guest of Honor (GoH), with the theme, "The imagination peoples the air," drawn from Jose Rizal's "Noli Me Tangere," blending literature, culture and history.

In what has been generally a drama-free event, the focus at this year's fair was on doing deals as the international publishing business settles into a post-pandemic rhythm.
