Wanda Dench, also known as the Thanksgiving Grandma and widely recognized for her 2016 viral moment, recently revealed a shocking health diagnosis. She is also a close friend of Jamal Hinton, whom she invited accidentally to her Thanksgiving dinner and ended up forming a bond with him.

Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton’s annual Thanksgiving dinner will feel a little different this year. The two unlikely friends took to X, formerly Twitter, on Oct. 16 to share “a special message from Wanda.” They revealed that the 67-year-old “Thanksgiving Grandma” was diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
