Disgraced Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein asked a court Wednesday to bring forward his retrial for sex offenses arguing that his "hellhole" prison conditions were unbearable, US media reported.

Weinstein was arraigned in September on the count of a criminal sexual act in the first degree, which stemmed from a recent indictment returned by a grand jury. He pleaded not guilty to the charge, which carries a sentence of up to 25 years in prison.

I need to get out of this hellhole as quickly as possible,” the ex-movie mogul, who is being held in New York’s Rikers Island, said at a recent hearing.
