With California's battle with wildfires, Westminster is reminding residents about an app that anyone can access free and it could help residents prepare in case a wildfire ever strikes close to home.

Colorado is sending resources to help California crews fighting wildfires near Los Angeles, state officials said Wednesday. California requested one of Colorado’s two multimission aircraft to assist with firefighting, and the plane is taking off from the Centennial Airport today, according to the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.

As California crews work to get these blazes under control, the state’s emergency management agencies have requested aid from several other states, including Colorado. According to the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control,

Colorado says firefighters left today to help California. They are bringing somewhere between 40 to 50 fire engines and one multi-mission aircrafts.
