The Buffalo Bills understand that when they dish out contract extensions to players on the roster, they are paying on what they hope the player eventually becomes - not necessarily what they have done to this point. That is precisely what the Bills did with edge rusher Greg Rousseau.

Rousseau, 24, is coming off a season in which he recorded 53 total tackles (16 tackles for loss), eight sacks and 24 quarterback hits. The tackles, TFLs and quarterback hits were all career-highs and his eight sacks tied his career-high from 2022.
