ALBANY, Ga. ( WALB /Gray News) - One person is dead and five others, including children, are injured after a shooting at a Georgia college during its homecoming weekend. The shooting happened Saturday at Albany State University’s East Campus in Albany, Georgia.

ALBANY, Ga. — One person is dead and another six are injured after someone opened fire during Albany State University’s homecoming weekend. WALB-TV is reporting that it happened on the university’s east campus.

One person was killed and at least five others wounded in a shooting at Albany State University in Georgia during the school’s homecoming Saturday night, police said. The deceased victim was identified as 19-year-old De-Marion Tayshawn Daniels, local NBC affiliate WALB reported. Daniels was from Atlanta, about 150 miles north of Albany.
