On Sunday night, a man fired his shotgun at a mother and her children in their car after a road rage incident, according to Vancouver police.It started when the two cars were involved in a road rage incident on I-5 and 78th Street when both drivers were headed home.

Both cars, which lived only a block from each other, continued to their home before the victim, traveling with her children, tried to get the suspect’s license plate number.

The shotgun slug went through the windshield and struck an empty car seat, police said. The woman and her children experienced “temporary hearing loss” from the shooting, police said. The two drivers live in the same neighborhood,
