MARTA police said the man who shot and killed a bus driver has turned himself in to police and has been charged with murder. The shooting left 47-year-old bus operator Leroy Ramos dead. DECATUR, GA — MARTA police announce they’ve charged a third suspect in the shooting death of bus driver Leroy Ramos. The 47-year-old Ramos and three juveniles got into an altercation last Friday evening in the bus loop at the Decatur Station. Two of the suspects were immediately arrested and charged with murder.

MARTA Chief of Police Scott Kreher said the shooting, which stemmed from a fare disagreement about getting on the bus, happened after 6:30 p.m. at the Decatur Station. Officers received a 911 call that there was an altercation between the bus operator and three people.
