KJ Adams Jr. made his highly anticipated return to the court for Kansas basketball against UCF after missing several games due to a shoulder injury he sustained in the Iowa State game on January 15th. His return was a boost for the Jayhawks, who were looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Houston.

After missing three straight games because of a shoulder injury, Kansas senior forward KJ Adams returned to play 26 minutes in Tuesday’s 91-87 victory over UCF at Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas basketball had to play some of Wednesday’s game at Iowa State without KJ Adams, due to an injury. KU coach Bill Self has updated Adams' status.

Adams, known for his tough defense and hustle, has been a massive piece of Kansas’ rotation this season. Averaging 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, the senior from Austin, Texas, brings energy and leadership that the Jayhawks will undoubtedly miss during this stretch of Big 12 play.

Kansas basketball is getting closer to full strength. KJ Adams is close to returning to the Jayhawks from an injury.
