Sorokin was the first goalie off the ice during Wednesday's morning skate, and head coach Patrick Roy confirmed the 29-year-old as the starting goaltender in the hours leading up to Thursday's matchup. Sorokin made his first start of the season on the road against Colorado on Monday and picked up the win while turning aside 32 of 34 shots.
