A report of suspicious circumstances in a Granite Bay neighborhood on Monday morning has developed into a double homicide investigation, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Around 8 a.m.,

Deputies were called just after 8 a.m. to Lou Place and Oak Leaf Way after a caller reported “suspicious circumstances.”

One person was in custody after a man and woman were found dead in a Granite Bay home Monday morning, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said.

A man was detained Monday in Granite Bay after deputies began investigating “suspicious circumstances” that prompted area residents to shelter-in-place, according to a Placer County Sheriff’s Office news release.
