The presence of “Dr. Phil” at Chicago federal immigration raids raises questions about the propriety of the operation and highlights a presidency that favors reality TV.

Ill., on Tuesday slammed the decision to grant TV host Dr. Phil McGraw, a psychologist, access to the raids Sunday in Chicago, which McGraw streamed on his channel.

Dr. Phil and his film crew joined border czar Tom Homan and agents on some immigrations raids and livestreamed them on Merit TV, which he founded when his show "Dr. Phil" was canceled in 2023.
