Amazon has announced the Fire TV Stick HD, but you aren't getting many upgrades compared to the previous entry-level model.

With the advent of the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD, the company's low-cost streaming stick lineup goes from four devices to just three.

As if four new Kindles weren’t enough for the Amazon devices team to unveil this week, a new Fire TV Stick has landed. It’s twofold in that we have a new streaming stick from Amazon, but it also streamlines the lineup a bit.

If you're brand new to the streaming stick world, this new product makes your buying decision that little bit easier going forward. The high-end products remain the same: Amazon has the Fire TV Stick 4K for higher video resolution and 4K Max with some upgrades over that, as well as the Fire TV Cube which is its top-end home entertainment box.

The Fire TV Stick HD also comes with Alexa-enabled Voice Remote. Users can give voice commands to easily search and launch programs across various apps. Additionally, users can also control compatible smart home devices like soundbars, smart plugs, thermostat, lights, and more with Alexa Assistant.

Amazon has launched a new entry-level Fire TV Stick – the Fire TV Stick HD. It's currently US only at $34.99, but expect a price below £40 when it launches in the UK too.
