The castle wasn’t open which was a little sad, but the garden was pretty and the ambience of the castle was great. Just at this time of year, there wasn’t many flowers in the rose garden or anything … Full review by Alyssa L

The grounds of Hatley Park are always open, but some parts have different hours depending on what you want. Royal Roads University occupies part of Hatley Castle and has regular business hours. There is a trail system throughout the grounds. A restaurant/cafe on site has shorter hours. Parking is available as part of the University or you can park at the Galloping Goose Trail junction and walk into the Park.

There is a ferry from port Angeles I believe and there may be something right from Seattle called the clipper. Or drive north to Canada and take the ferry from Tswassen
